SALES REPRESENTATIVE

Job Description:

As a Sales Representative, you will play a crucial role in promoting and selling our jewelry at various pop-up markets and events throughout Austin, TX and the surrounding area. You will engage with customers, showcase our products, and contribute to the overall success of our sales efforts. This position is ideal for someone with a keen interest in sales, a love for jewelry, and strong interpersonal skills. 

Responsibilities:

  • Represent Chasing Indigo at pop-up markets, and events.

  • Set up and organize the jewelry display to ensure an appealing and professional presentation as well as maintaining, restocking, and monitoring overall presentation throughout the event.

  • Engage with customers, provide information about products, offer personalized recommendations, and handle any concerns or issues.

  • Build rapport with customers and create a positive shopping experience while embodying the values and image of Chasing Indigo.

  • Ensure that event marketing and promotional materials are crafted and effectively shared across our social media platforms prior to event.

  • Share the brand story and highlight key features of the jewelry to enhance customer interest.

  • Maintain new customer records and actively encourage them to follow us on Instagram and shop online, fostering repeat business and strengthening customer loyalty.

Qualifications:

  • Strong interest in jewelry and sales.
  • Weekend availability required
  • Must have a car and the ability to set up and break down at events
  • Sales or retail experience required 
  • Motivated to meet sales goals
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to engage with customers and create a positive shopping experience.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Basic math skills for handling sales transactions and inventory management.

Compensation and schedule: 

  • You will be offered an hourly rate + commission. With this model, you can be making anywhere from $22-$35 / hour.
  • You will need to be available 1-2 days per week, Saturday and/or Sunday. Schedule will be on an as needed basis. 

 

PERMANENT JEWELRY WELDER 

Job Description: 

At Linked by Chasing Indigo, based in Austin, Texas, our permanent jewelry features custom bracelets, necklaces, anklets, and rings crafted from 14k gold filled and 925 sterling silver chains as well as charms and gemstone add ons. Our brand is dedicated to delivering high-quality, custom permanent jewelry pieces that serve as lasting, wearable memories. We take pride in the quality or our bracelets and the skill of our welders to ensure our customers are getting a piece of jewelry that will last as long as they want to wear it! 

As a welder at Chasing Indigo, you'll be at the heart of creating an exceptional and inviting experience for our clients at our events. Your role involves delivering outstanding customer service by providing detailed information on our products and processes. While jewelry making experience is not required, it is a big plus, and having experience working with your hands is ideal. What matters most is your enthusiasm and ability to connect with people. Qualifications:

  • You must be good with your hands (experience in jewelry making or crafting/ arts is preferred but not required)
  • Weekend availability required 
  • Must have a car and be available to travel to and set up/break down at various markets and events around the Austin area. 
  • Complete necessary welding training
  • You have 1+ years of retail or hospitality experience (required)
  • Passion for jewelry, trends, community and excellent customer service
  • You are responsible, a problem solver, detail-oriented and process driven

Responsibilities:

  • Professionally weld 14k gold filled and sterling silver custom bracelets, anklets, and necklaces for clients.
  • Deliver exceptional and memorable customer experiences.
  • Develop a deep understanding of our product offerings.
  • Educate customers on product options, pricing, and benefits, and care.
  • Accurately use the POS system for transactions.
  • Communicate any needs or concerns to the appropriate channels.
  • Execute assigned market events effectively.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
